Manchester United have clear goals for signing Declan Rice next summer: report

A report shows that Manchester United now seems to have a clear way to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

Chelsea set their sights on Monaco midfielder Aurelian Giomeni instead of Rice, Simon Johnson Report.

It is believed that the 21-year-old French player has been on Chelsea’s midfield target list last summer, but ultimately did not make a deal. According to Johnson, the top management of the Blues thought Tchoumeni would play on Ligue 1 for another year before they hunt him down.

Chelsea signed Sol Nigues of Atletico Madrid for a one-season loan contract this summer.

For Manchester United fans, this is still good news, because their biggest opponent in Rice’s competition is retiring. This summer, Rice became the focus of Manchester United’s attention, and the club also tried to upgrade the midfield by introducing a person who is good at defensive tactics.

West Ham United have the ability to keep Rice, because his current contract will last until 2024, and choose not to sell the England international. Putting a price tag of 100 million pounds ($138 million) on Rice’s head is enough to stop Chelsea and Manchester United from pursuing the 22-year-old.

This summer, the Red Devils are also connected with Joe Armeni, but there are few rumors. Compared with the young French, Rice’s name is more prominent.

Manchester United has one of the best transfer windows in recent memory because it was finally able to bring in Sancho from Dortmund. The club perfected his signing by following Rafael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United’s move strongly shows that the club is stepping up its efforts to win the Premier League for the first time since the 2012-13 season.

In addition to Rice, it is said that the Premier League center is also considering signing Leicester City’s Yuri Tillermans next summer. According to Manchester Evening News.

It is believed that if Tillermans decides to leave next summer, he will be seen as a potential replacement for French midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba has always been of interest from other top European clubs such as Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
