Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (Andrej Babiš) said on Tuesday (September 7) that the EU has no place for Afghan refugees and should help them stay in their homeland.
The hardline Islamic organization, the Taliban, returned to power in Afghanistan last month, triggering a large number of refugees to leave Afghanistan.
The European Union, which has since received thousands of Afghan refugees, is now worried that millions of people may seek asylum in Europe and its neighboring country Turkey, which will trigger a repeat of the immigration crisis in 2015.
“Europe really has no place for them,” Babis said after meeting with his Austrian and Slovak counterparts at Lednice Castle in southeastern Czech Republic.

The billionaire populist Czech leader added: “One option is to lead the talks with (Turkish) President (Recep Tayyip) Erdogan as in the past, but I don’t think this is a good one. choose.”
He was referring to an agreement reached between the European Union and Turkey in 2016 to block the flow of migrants mainly from Syria to Europe by admitting millions of migrants in exchange for incentives including financial assistance.
“The better option is the solution that keeps people in Afghanistan,” Babis said.
Kurz said on Tuesday that Austria has allocated 18 million euros to help Afghans in neighboring countries of Afghanistan.
“We will work hard to alleviate their suffering, but we agree that it should not happen again in 2015. We oppose illegal immigration and we will fight traffickers,” Kurz said.
He added: “We need to find a solution in the region, not to trigger the outflow from Europe again.”
