More than 200 Afghan refugees have been resettled in Wales After escaping Taliban The Welsh government said.
There are 50 families in Wales, including 230 people-most of whom have directly supported the Welsh Army in Afghanistan over the past 20 years.
The Welsh government has been cooperating with local authorities, Urdd Gobaith Cymru, Ministry of Defense Refugee support organizations and local Welsh Afghans.
After Afghanistan fell under the control of the Taliban, emergency evacuation brought 15,000 people back to the UK.

Those who arrive under this plan have been registered in the British government’s Afghanistan Relocation and Assistance Policy, which helps families who directly support the British Armed Forces in Afghanistan.
Social Justice Minister Jan Hurt said: “Today, we welcome families and individuals who serve our country in Afghanistan.
“We have made a clear commitment to Wales as a country of asylum, and we are committed to doing everything possible to ensure that Afghan interpreters, refugees and their families are welcomed.
“Wales is a country of refuge-we will do our best to provide a warm welcome in the short term, and there is no doubt that our community will become richer with their skills and experience in the near future.”
Councillor Huw Thomas, leader Cardiff Parliament He added: “While these families fled the Taliban, they were forced to leave their homes for fear of their lives.
“Most of us have a hard time imagining what they went through. Cardiff The City Council has been working behind the scenes to ensure that we are ready to work with all our partners to play our part in mitigating this terrible crisis.
“Cardiff has a long and proud history of welcoming people of all races and beliefs to our city, and we will do our best to ensure that all these families feel welcome from the first day they arrive.”
