Madame Judy Dench and Sir Kenneth Branagh are an unstoppable combination of acting and director.
The two again collaborated on Branagh’s semi-autobiographical film Belfast Regarding adulthood during the outbreak of the Northern Ireland problem in the 1960s.
The film tells the story of 10-year-old Buddy (Jude Hill) and his family reluctantly leaving Belfast and crossing the waters to England to escape violence on the streets of their hometown.
The plot of the film reflects Branagh’s experience of moving from Belfast to Reading in southern England in the 1960s due to “trouble”.
