A business has been hit hard by Covid and there will be a mortgage shortage within a few months. Tracy and Andy Fleming decide that their best option is to make a full life exchange from the southern suburbs London To the countryside Norfolk.
In the process, the pair lived in Bromley For 30 years, they managed to pay off all their mortgage debts and now enjoy a new pace of life without the financial burden of housing costs.
Amanda Lamb, property The experts and hosts of My Mortgage Free Home inspire them to find the new real estate of their dreams-a five-bedroom house house Attached to St. Peter, Walpole.
“We have been thinking about moving for some time-we have a shortage of mortgage loans, and it is imminent. When Covid broke out, our business followed and made this shortage more realistic,” Tracy said.
“I happened to see an ad on the Facebook page that said,’Are you looking for a mortgage-free house?’ “I just emailed the address and didn’t tell Andy. Then I heard the reply and took it to the next stage, from where everything went very fast. “
They said that the couple’s mortgage price in London was relatively low, £470 per month, but they also paid for storage for their property rental business.
After living in their house for 30 years, they still have a mortgage shortage (£86,000), which is more than the initial payment for the house (£85,000) after decades of extension and remortgage. “It must be done,” Tracey said.
During the pandemic, the couple’s wedding prop rental business came to a standstill.
Tracy was also diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. Although she has been cured for three years, she is determined not to let the place near Guy Hospital dominate her for the rest of her life. “You have only one life, you must continue to live,” she said.
When Tracy and Andy first started looking for a house, they focused their attention near Suffolk to get close to their two daughters, one in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, and the other In Surrey. But their final home hunt during the filming of “My Unsecured Loan Home” failed their expectations.
“The real estate market is changing so fast, we have been following Rightmove for years, but our search speed is faster than we can catch up.
“Now we are in an area that we never thought about going to. We might actually say in the initial questionnaire that we don’t want to be here, but we wake up every day and pinch ourselves,” Tracey said.
Although the couple did not actually find their dream home during the filming-their two favorites were sold before they were ready to move-they saw a variety of potential properties, which inspired them to renew Consider their entire house hunting method and reconsider some of their red lines.
They especially wanted to live in a village with a bar — “To my shock, we moved into a village with nothing, no bars, no shops,” Tracey said.
They now drive three and a half miles to a farm shop or a butcher’s shop, “but it’s not like three and a half miles in Bromley. We used to drive an hour to work in London, and now we drive an hour, we’re in a completely different Place, surrounded by breathtaking sky, sound and scenery.
“The plan sowed the seeds, and we followed suit,” Tracey said.
