New feature: intraday reminders (and upcoming mobile apps!)

You may have seen some new links around this site today. I added some intraday alerts mixing. These alerts *near real time* – They may be delayed by 1-20 minutes. But I think they are still very useful, as long as you don’t try to be their scalper.
You will be able to choose from a list of things to be alerted. This feature is currently in beta and there may be some issues. In the next few days, I will adjust a few things. So if you find anything strange, please let me know.
Oh i should add These are only available on the U.S. (NASDAQ, New York Stock Exchange, and American Stock Exchange) websites. That’s because this is the only version of the website that I get an intraday quote. (Edited on May 8: They are now also available on the Australia/ASX, Canada and UK/London stock exchange markets.) If I can find reasonably priced sources of quotations for Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, then I will also open these alerts for these markets.
This is the initial list of alerts:
- Moving average breakout/touch (10, 20, 50 and 200 day moving average)
- Bollinger Band Breakout/Contact
- Up/down x% (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
- New 52-week high or low
- x times the average (1.5, 2, 3, 5, 10) speed volume
You can select and set these alerts at the watchlist or portfolio level. Just use the new “Manage intraday alerts” button in your portfolio or watchlist. There is also a button on these pages to view these alerts. Or, you can view all intraday alerts at once through the “Intraday Alerts” option under the “My Stocks” navigation menu.
I am considering adding more types of intraday alerts. Like:
- Up or down x ATR
- Created a new x daily high or low (where x can be 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, 90)
- Chandelier exit hit

First, you can only see these alerts on the website. You must refresh the page to get the update. I have only used them for two days and I already want to push them to me. I might add an option to receive these as emails-you will be able to choose how often you want them to be sent.
This The ultimate goal is to push these to people’s mobile devices. On that piece of paper, I have started working on the application version of SwingTradeBot (iOS and Android)!
I hope to release a streamlined version of these applications before the end of the month. But at the same time, email may be the way to send these alerts to you.and so If you want to receive these alerts via email, please let me know. If not, I will just save the trouble and just send them to myself. 🙂
