A health worker is injecting Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine.
New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Monday that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will require its workers to be vaccinated against Covid-19 or undergo weekly testing starting in September.
Cuomo also stated at a briefing that he requires private companies to require vaccination upon admission. If the number of cases does not improve, they should consider compulsory vaccination for nursing home staff, teachers, and medical staff.

“If you want to teach my children, I think you should get vaccinated,” Cuomo said.
This development marks recent attempts by government leaders to stimulate reluctant Americans to vaccinate, as the delta variants of the coronavirus have proliferated across the country, especially those infected with unvaccinated people.
