NJ Advance Media Editor-in-Chief Whitmer quits

Kevin Whitmer, The editor-in-chief of NJ Advance Media, including NJ.com, lehighvalleylive.com and The Star-Ledger Step down Freed from his role 36 years later. He is also the senior vice president of content, expansion and development.

Before that, he served as vice president of content.

He said: “As for me, it’s time to leave, recharge, do some work for myself, and think about what I hope the next few years of my life will be like. This may be consulting, teaching, volunteering, or it may be the three perfect combination.”

Whitmer also served as the editor-in-chief of The Star for 5 years, where he previously served as the sports editor, the assistant editor-in-chief of the sports and business station, and the chief editor-digital content expert.

He also worked for the New York Daily News for nearly 4 years and served as an assistant sports editor for the Courier News.
