Duncan’s comments were made shortly before the president Joe BidenLast week, 13 American soldiers killed in a terrorist suicide bombing at Kabul Airport in Afghanistan, the First Lady and other White House officials were present.
Most of the comments on Duncan’s tweets were pretty unflattering, including this one.
“On the day President Biden saw the coffins of soldiers killed in suicide bombings, I couldn’t imagine that the tweets posted by the former Minister of Education @arneduncan were even more inappropriate,” the person responded. “There is no comparability between not covering your face, not getting vaccinated, and terrorism. The remarks of another educator named Duncan are shameful.

The president and first lady and other dignitaries were present to pay tribute to the 13 soldiers killed in the bombing last week. Among them are 12 marines and 1 naval medic.
On the same day, Hurricane Ida destroyed the coast of Louisiana with an extremely dangerous Category 4 storm, tore the roof, uprooted trees, and caused catastrophic floods.
By 9pm Eastern Time on Sunday, more than 800,000 people were out of power. At the same time, the storm was still moving inland in the form of a Category 3 storm with wind speeds of 115 mph.
