Last month, I had the opportunity to fly to Palm Springs to attend Fresh Air Retreat, a unique food blogger retreat designed to bring food bloggers and brands together to create a place to learn, connect, and Room to grow.
Take a Food Blogger Retreat
It was a wonderful, fulfilling few days filled with fun and relaxation while also being productive and making friendships along the way.
Liz and Lauren host retreats twice a year, each at a unique location. We flew out and soaked up the Palm Springs sunshine, explored, brainstormed, met super cool brands, and ate delicious food! I wanted to take you to a fresh air retreat and introduce you to all my new friends (we still text every day!).
World Health Organization there
A rising tide lifts all shipsthat is definitely the energy during retreat. My favorite part is coming together to solve each other’s problems. We did this twice on both days and it was fantastic and very helpful.

- Chef Trimell: I have to give a lot of love chef terry mell. He was our in-house personal chef and now a friend! He is so talented, we ate it real Pretty good, if you can tell from the photos! An absolute treat. He gets creative with local ingredients and themes while incorporating our sponsors into his dishes. He’s the best – so be sure to check him out and follow him on social media. He is a gem and you will learn so much from him!

Fresh Air Resort has some incredible sponsors who do amazing things in the food space and they make this trip possible!
- Grocery store list: My friend is from grocer list Fly out and take us through some new and innovative ways to help our readers and subscribers. They have great technology that allows us to easily deliver our recipes to you through social media, as well as updated features like allowing you to purchase ingredients directly from Instagram! They keep it all centered on you, the reader, and make our platform easy to navigate and informed! They are the best.
- Happy Egg Company: They are passionate about creating a happy, healthy environment for their hens to produce high-quality eggs, which can be seen in the color of the yolks! We discussed the differences between free range, pasture raised, free range, industrial and hens need at least 21.8 square feet of area per chicken which equates to 10 acres for every 20,000 chickens! You know I care a lot about eggs and quality, so this is fun! Be sure to check it out their store locator See where you can find them near you!
- Onion 52: Onion 52 Had a very interesting lunch. The chef did a fun knife demonstration and they pride themselves on quality products and have even developed “Smiley” sweet onions that barely shed a tear! They are committed to using permaculture practices to ensure the quality and environmental responsibility of every onion I love.
- Albertsons: They kept us well fed, especially their exclusive Signature selection brand that offers an amazing range of delicious, high-value products.
- Visit Greater Palm Springs: They hosted an unforgettable dinner offsite, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great! leaving port and Fusion five Very tasty.
- California walnuts: Walnuts are a powerful substance. Protein, fiber, antioxidants…I love them! What a great way to make a charcuterie board california walnutand learn more about storing them, eating them, their benefits, the chefs created some really wonderful recipes that line up on our Charcuterie Sauce, and inspired some LCK holiday recipes!
- california date committee: This is a highlight. Our tasting date was so much fun. They arranged a “date flight” for us and we tried all the varieties which were very different in taste and texture. Did you know that dates have a low glycemic index? And contains lots of fiber, minerals, vitamins and polyphenols? I love them.
My happy tears of gratitude!
As bloggers, we don’t have traditional colleagues, nor do we have the opportunity to get together regularly and brainstorm, like in an office. That’s what makes Fresh Air Retreat so special – the friends I leave with, the knowledge gained, the space to be open and vulnerable, and pleasure We were together!
There is something unique about owning your own online business, where the environment is constantly changing and you are surrounded by strong entrepreneurs who live across the country.
In 2020, my retreat slowed down (to the point of being a drag) and I had two kids during that time, so I so So excited to be connected with such an amazing woman (and an amazing brand)!
We don’t get together enough and let’s be honest, while it’s a great job it can also be isolating! every retreat of mine once Attendance has resulted in a gold medal. I always leave them with a whole heart, new friends, and endless new ideas and things that can be implemented into the LCK to make it better! The Fresh Air Retreat is no different and I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse of it!
