Blount Gourmet A recall of 6,384 pounds of Panera Chicken Tortilla Soup that may be contaminated with gray nitrile gloves has been issued.
The fully cooked instant soup was produced on July 1. It is sold in a plastic container labeled Panera Bread at Home Chicken Tortilla Soup, lot number 070121-1V. Its use date on the label is September 9, 2021.
Potentially contaminated soup also carried the company number P-13130 in the USDA inspection mark and was shipped to retail locations in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
Consumers should check their refrigerators for the recalled Panera soup. Urge them not to consume the product. It should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
Questions about the recall can be made to the Blount Fine Foods customer service team at 1-866-674-4519 from 9 am to 9 pm Eastern Standard Time, Monday to Friday.
Blount Fine Foods found that there may be contamination after multiple consumer complaints about the product containing gray nitrile gloves.
The company has not received reports of adverse reactions caused by the consumption of the recalled soup. Anyone concerned about injury or illness caused by the product should contact their healthcare provider.
