Panthers and Cam Newton ensure reunion

After reports that the 32-year-old player will return to the same team where he started his career, the Carolina Panthers, Cam Newton is on the cusp of playing again.

On Thursday, November 11, the Panthers announced by Twitter They have signed a one-year contract with Newton.

This is after the 2015 NFL MVP met with head coach Matt Roulle, owner David Tepper, VP of football operations Steven Drummond, and general manager Scott Fetler.

according to ESPN A source is quoted as saying that the contract value for the rest of the season is as high as 10 million U.S. dollars, including a $4.5 million security deposit and a $1.5 million roster bonus.

Newton is one of the high-profile NFL free agents released by the New England Patriots in August.

Carolina was looking for a quarterback, and Newton unexpectedly appeared on the roster.

According to reports, from there, Rhule called Newton, asked if he was interested in returning to the Panthers, and replied “yes”. Charlotte Observer Report.

When the Panthers lost Sam Darnold with a shoulder injury, things changed surprisingly.

But even before that, the 24-year-old was already calling for the Carolina game.

In addition, he was placed in the injury reserve team and is expected to be absent for at least four weeks.

Darnold is dealing with a fracture of his right scapula. Ironically, when the Panthers lost 24-6 to the Patriots on Sunday, November 7, he allegedly suffered this fracture.

There is no doubt that Newton is one of the popular names in the NFL, let alone the Panthers.

However, Rhule warned that the reason they brought back the 2015 NFL Offensive Player of the Year was to win.

“We didn’t bring Cam Newton to sell season tickets,” Rhule said. “We brought him here to win the game.”

There is no doubt that Newton can be a prolific organizer for any team on the court, but with his continuous injuries over the years, whether he can lead the team to the promised land becomes a big question.

NFL insider Matt Maiocco said in an interview Sports for all PH Newton may be better for another one to two years.

“Cam Newton has been at his best in Carolina for many years. He is a quarterback. But last year, in terms of the NFL’s starting quarterback, he was closer to the bottom… Base, he is closer to the bottom,” Mayoko said.

“So I don’t know if he can return to his level, because I think he is unhealthy. So I think he may be in the last year or two of quarterback in the NFL.”
