Peruvian police said that early on Tuesday, a bus in Peru fell from a cliff, killing 26 passengers, including a child, and injuring 22 others. This is the third incident in the country in four days. Transportation accident.
The accident occurred on a narrow section of the Carretera Central Highway about 60 kilometers east of the capital Lima.
In an interview with Peruvian TV, the police commander Cesar Cervantes said that one child was among the dead and two were injured. There were 63 passengers on the bus.
The police added on Twitter that they are conducting search and rescue operations on possible survivors and looking for dead bodies.

Cervantes said that “recklessness” led to Tuesday’s accident, adding that the bus had been “driving at high speed.”
According to survivors, it hit a rock and plunged into an abyss about 200 meters deep.
On Sunday, two ships collided on the Amazon River in Peru, killing 14 people. An undetermined figure is still missing.
Two days ago, another bus crashed into a ravine in the southeast of the country, killing 17 people.
