I have an important reporting deadline today and having to travel interstate means I simply don’t have time to spare. So today, I’m promoting a podcast I recorded with Steve Grumbine on Real Progressives a few weeks ago. We talked about my recent time living and working in Japan, as well as issues of culture and Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). The discussion lasted over an hour, which you can shorten by setting the volume to zero to fast-track musical intros and musical intermissions. Steve’s taste (heavy metal) is very disturbing (-: I’d prefer a quiet jazz oriented intro. So save some time and skip the music!
I would also like to thank Steve, Jules, and the rest of his team for all their tireless efforts to promote MMT.
Sometimes the task of communicating new ideas to people is frustrating and people wonder if any progress has been made.
But the growth of Real Progressives is a testament to the fact that more and more people are realizing that we can do things differently and take care of each other in the process.
By the way, I’m often asked to start a podcast myself.
Apparently some people prefer this form of communication to reading. Let me know in the comments section if you think this would be useful and I’ll take care of the logistics.
I’m currently in the process of changing things here – bringing the blog to a new server on our farm and getting rid of old plugins that are outdated (security wise).
The Weekly Quiz will disappear from here and reappear as an app on the MMTed home page, always available to anyone who likes it. Other shifts are coming.
So now is the time to consider a new format.
It’s good to have change.
Enough for today!
