The toy poodle has died, and its owner is recovering from his injuries after being ravaged by three “pit bulldogs” puppy In the east London garden.

32-year-old Anna Guglielmi was walking her 3-year-old pet Ruby in Aspen’s Bartlett Park when they were attacked. On Monday, market researchers warned other dog walkers to remain vigilant after a “traumatic” incident.

Ms. Guglielmi told Standard: “We walked into the dog park and I let Ruby out of the lead. Then these three huge dogs ran towards me.

“I immediately grabbed Ruby and hugged her, but they jumped on my back and bit her. They bit me. It was terrible. They were bull terrier-style dogs and the owner couldn’t control them. He didn’t even have a clue.”

A passing friend of Ms. Guglielmi tried to separate the dogs, but had to pry one of their jaws off Ruby, who was still in her owner’s arms. His face was bitten, while Ms. Guglielmi was stabbed in the leg.

She added: “Ruby was screaming, I was screaming. I tried to protect her, but they just continued to attack. They lost control. It was horrible to think that it might be a child walking in that park. I believe them. Will do the same thing.”

After the attack, Ms. Guglielmi called the police and took Ruby to the vet. But her pet was seriously injured and had to be put down.

“Ruby is still alive, but she has lost too much blood,” she said. “Her organ was punctured, and the vet just said she was not saved.”

Metropolis confirmed that officials were called to Bartlett Park before 3 pm on August 26 and detained three dogs for “assessment.”

No one was arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

Ms. Guglielmi called for changes to the law to stipulate that dogs that attack and kill other pets will be treated in the same way as if they show aggression against humans.
