The Vatican said on Tuesday that Pope Francis has donated more than 350,000 euros (411,000 US dollars) of charitable funds for his personal disposal to help emergency relief in Haiti, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
A statement stated that 200,000 euros will be used to help Haiti after the August 14 earthquake, which killed more than 2,000 people.

The Vatican stated that the money is the initial donation and will be managed through its embassies in these countries.
