The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management (Global Alliance), the umbrella organization for the world’s foremost PR and communications management associations and agencies, has announced new leadership appointments.
Among the newly elected officials are two distinguished members of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the country’s leading organization for public relations professionals.
One of them is Norman A. Agatep (APR), principal of Grupo Agatep, an independent integrated marketing and corporate communications agency. He will serve as the district's representative-at-large until June 30, 2025. He also served as Chairman of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines and Chairman of the Advertising Standards Board.
Joining Norman is Ana B. Pista, president and chief executive officer of Ardent Communications, who will also serve as regional representative-at-large representing the Asia-Pacific region. Her term was also extended to June 30, 2025. She has served as a board member of Global Alliance GAP for more than three years.
The election took place on May 25 during the 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Global Alliance in Lima, Peru. Justin Green, Chairman of the Global Alliance, kicked off the election process by introducing the 2023 Annual Report, reviewing the key activities and initiatives of the past year.
The newly elected officials are composed of leading professionals, academics and industry association leaders from all continents, and their terms begin on July 1, 2024. Global Alliance emphasizes its commitment to diversity and multicultural representation, reflecting the global nature of the public relations profession.
Elected based on the number of votes, the following people will serve Regional representative Until June 30, 2025:

- Noela Mutanda – Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK, Kenya)
- My Ruan Ke – Vietnam Public Relations Network (VNPR, Vietnam)
- Fiona Rose Cassidy – Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ, New Zealand)
- norman roof – Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP, Philippines)
- Jennifer Muir – Communications and Public Relations Australia (CPRA, Australia)
- Bonnie Keifer – Reputation Beacon (USA)
- Maliha Akil – International Association of Business Communicators (IABC, USA)
- Gesil Weir – ASEAN Public Relations Network (Indonesia)
- Paula Portugal Mendez – Portuguese Association of Corporate Communications (APCE, Portugal)
- Steve Shepson Smith – Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR, UK)
These appointments underscore Global Alliance’s commitment to developing an inclusive leadership team to support its mission of advancing the global public relations field. The organization currently has 86 members and has extensive influence and influence in the industry.
