“Another victim was acquitted of Brown in 2019. He came to the court and bravely provided evidence from the previous investigation to support the Crown’s application for bad character against Milton Brown.

“I hope that the massive imprisonment of Brown reflects the police officers’ dedication to justice for victims of serious sexual crimes, and encourages those affected by similar crimes to come forward and report to the police.”

Mr. Brown has a long history of attacking women, which can be traced back to the 1990s.

He was sentenced to 21 years in prison for raping a woman and inducing them to return to his apartment after going out at night to sexually assault another woman, and for the brutal assault on his then-girlfriend Susan McDonald. The latter ended his life tragically.

The trial attracted the attention of former Prime Minister Tony Blair and triggered legal changes in sexual assault cases because Mr. Brown fired his legal team and spent five days personally interrogating three victims.

After the High Court judge ruled that this amounted to a “second rape,” defendants accused of sexual crimes were subsequently barred from questioning their own victims.

A detective in the case called Mr. Brown “the most evil person I have ever met.”

A sentencing judge said that he lacked the “characteristics that distinguish between humans and beasts-that is, human nature.”

Mr. Brown was released early after serving 14 years in prison.

After his release, he told The Sun that he should be free and declared: “I have changed.”
