The police have ordered the dispersal of protesters who clashed with the police and set fire to the statue of Boris Johnson in central London.
Anarchists and anti-vaccineists are among the demonstrators in the annual Million Mask Parade.
Some people fired fireworks at the police, forcing riot police to forcibly break into the crowd and confiscate the missiles.
A group of people gathered to watch the statue burn, and at least one demonstrator shouted “Burning, Boris, burning”.
Other anarchist groups united and rushed to the police around Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square and Oxford Circus.

An article 35 dispersal order was issued, ordering the crowd to leave the area.
There were videos of protesters joining weapons and rushing towards the police during the conflict, while other clips showed anarchists firing fireworks at the police team and lighting a portrait of Boris Johnson at the foot of Nelson’s column.
The police were forced to set up roadblocks at various locations in the capital to stop protesters from vowing to “go down in history.”
The police wrote on Twitter: “The Article 35 dispersal orders in Parliament Square and Westminster are still in effect.”
The Million Mask Parade, also known as “Operation Vendetta”, is an annual protest that usually coincides with the night of the bonfire on November 5.
This is an anti-government and anti-establishment protest. It was first held in 2012 and has been held in many cities around the world every year. The protests in London and Washington, DC are the most prominent.
The protest is closely related to the international radical organization “Anonymous” and condemns government corruption, capitalist greed and the erosion of civil liberties.
“Anonymous” is an international group of left-wing liberal activists, some of whom are hackers, committed to the ideals of individual freedom and a society without centralized power.
Many of the protesters in the Million Mask Parade are known for wearing the Guy Fawkes full-face mask, which is based on the graphic novel “V for Vendetta”.
The Metropolitan Police issued a statement this morning that protests are expected to occur, saying that intelligence shows that some protesters have gone to London to target the police.
Cavalry divisions and police dog units were also called to support the police in their efforts to prevent the parade from falling into full-scale riots.
A Metropolitan spokesperson said: “This police plan was formulated after continuous review and thorough evaluation of intelligence that indicates that certain groups intend to cause chaos or target the police with violence.”
“As a preventive measure, police officers will be equipped with professional public order uniforms and some protective barriers will be set up outside of various locations in London.”
Different units in the metropolis will also support today’s policing plan, including our public order team, mounted police, police dogs, and national police aviation services.
In a series of Twitter posts, the Met said: “Our police operation for tonight’s demonstration is ongoing. A group of protesters moved from Parliament Square along Whitehall to #Westminster.
“Many fireworks and flares have been set off. Police officers interacted with the crowd at the scene.
“Part of this group has moved from Trafalgar Square and is now in Leicester Square. Officials are still on the scene.”
