Elderflower and Gin Cocktail with Lemon and Raspberries
This Raspberry Gin Cocktail is a great mixed drink recipe. It’s light and refreshing, perfectly sweetened with simple raspberry simple syrup and fresh-squeezed lemon, topped with gin and elderflower liqueur, and sprinkled with a little sparkle.
I keep mine on ice cubes with fresh raspberries frozen straight in. This is the perfect presentation of the perfect drink!
Serve this gin cocktail on Valentine’s Day (or any holiday for that matter), or whip it up to spice up your weeknight dinners!

materials needed
All you need are a few simple ingredients to make this refreshing raspberry elderflower cocktail. See recipe card below for ingredient amounts!
- Raspberry Easy Syrup: We are making a homemade refined sugar-free simple syrup that combines raspberries, filtered water, and maple syrup. It’s easy, I promise!
- gin: Use your favorite gin. I recommend something of good quality!
- lemon juice: Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for best flavor.
- Elderflower Liqueur: This is optional but does add a fruity layer to the cocktail.
- Sparkling water or sparkling water: They are only slightly different. Either one will work!
- ice cubes: You’ll shake the cocktails with ice to chill the drinks, then strain them out.
- Rosemary sprigs: elective. For decoration!
- Raspberry Ice Cubes: Optional but fun! You can easily make raspberry ice cubes by placing raspberries in ice cube trays, covering them with water, and freezing them.
How to Make a Raspberry Gin Cocktail
This simple gin cocktail is the perfect drink for a dinner date at home. It only takes 10 minutes to make!
- In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, water, and maple syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer until reduced by half. Strain and cool completely.
- Add gin, lemon juice, club soda, 1.5 oz raspberry syrup, and elderflower wine to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to cool, then strain into your glass.
- Serve with raspberry ice cubes and a rosemary garnish.








Tips and Precautions
- Make the syrup ahead of time. It needs time to cool completely before adding it to drinks. If the cocktail is still warm when you shake it, it will melt the ice and dilute your drink.

- Use another fruit. Swap the raspberries for any other berry you like. Blackberries or strawberries would be delicious.
- swap soda. You can use Prosecco or Moscato wine (sweetener) to achieve a similar effect.
- Use a different citrus. Orange or lime are great!

The only ingredients in this recipe that can actually be stored are Raspberry Simple Syrup. It will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
