SAE Media Group reports: The newest addition to SMG’s unmanned conference portfolio, U.S. Unmanned Maritime Systems Technology, will be held this September in Arlington, Virginia.
Unmanned systems in the land and air domains have developed rapidly over the past decade, and the importance of unmanned systems in the maritime domain has and will continue to grow. In 2021, the U.S. Navy released their Unmanned Combat Framework, outlining goals for innovating and adapting new technologies to build a more lethal and distributed naval force for the future.
The United States is now committed to providing the hybrid fleet (UUV) and unmanned surface ships necessary for the Navy to address emerging security concerns and compete and win in the age of great power competition by expanding and developing a range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned underwater vehicles (USV).
