It is with immense pride and excitement that I announce the promotion of editorial and content strategy champion Miranda Miller to senior executive editor.
While this promotion actually happened in January and I myself recently joined SEJ, I wanted to celebrate Miranda’s growth and leadership within the organization.
In this role, her area of responsibility will include core elements of SEJ’s editorial operations in this senior role, including its extensive education and evergreen content.
“The word that comes to mind is blossom,” said Jenise Uehara, CEO of SEJ’s parent company, Alpha Brand Media.
“Miranda dabbles in organizational management, cross-departmental collaboration, and business process design, while also dealing with inefficiencies and challenges.”
Miranda is an exceptional writer and editor who also brings a wealth of experience and expertise in content strategy.
Over the past few months, Miranda has really shined as an organizational leader, working to exponentially grow SEJ’s editorial landscape, talent, and operations.
“Miranda has somehow made publishing madmen produce extraordinary content and breaking news all the time,” Janice added.
“I’m delighted to see Miranda engage so quickly and take on a more significant leadership role.”
Having followed her work since joining SEJ, I can speak to the editorial team of Miranda’s wealth of knowledge—not to mention the entire publication.
“I joined SEJ in early 2021 to help lead the editorial team through a period of tremendous growth and opportunity,” said Miranda.
“Even while introducing a data-driven content strategy and optimization approach, we were able to increase the production of expert and educational content by over 60 percent,” she added.
This year, we will publish 50% more ebooks than we did in 2021, and under her guidance, our contributing author program has grown to over 130 digital marketing and SEO experts.
Prior to joining the company, Miranda spent over 15 years leading her own marketing agency serving a wide range of clients including the world’s leading polar expedition company, Fintech and application startupFortune 100 companies and several government agencies.
She has been a prolific ghostwriter for brands and executives in SEO, technology, and finance, and has written thousands of articles for clients that appear in the most prominent B2B publications, technical journals, and mainstream media.
As Editor-in-Chief, I am very excited to see that Miranda’s leadership has undoubtedly contributed to SEJ’s continued substantial growth.
SEJ’s brand and content offerings continue to evolve to serve audiences of marketers and business leaders – now is the most inspiring or energizing time to nurture, promote, and be a part of this incredibly talented team.

Miranda is a part-time digital nomad and runs a location-agnostic content studio for corporate organizations.
For three to four months of the year, she works in co-working spaces and cafés in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
“But not at the beach,” Miranda added. “That’s a myth. Do you have sand in your laptop? No Bueno.”
In her hometown of Georgian Bay, Canada, she is the wife of a talented chef. Mama Bear has given birth to two teenage children, two shepherds and three budgies; and is a patron of the local live music and literary scene.
She is also a big fan of adrienne maree brown, Lizzo, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Margaret Atwood, AOC and hockey.
