YouTube has introduced a new feature designed to simplify the keyword research process so that you can create more content around the topics people are looking for.
Search insights It is an experimental feature and is currently being tested in the YouTube studio.
You use Search Insights to collect the following data:
- what Your The audience is looking for
- What general YouTube viewers are searching for
- Estimated search volume per query
- Whether there is a “content gap” for a particular search term
Search Insights can help with content planning because data is a powerful indicator of the type of video people want to watch.

What is YouTube search insights?
YouTube Search Insights enables creators to view content searched in the past 28 days.
All insights are in aggregate form, which means that individual searches of individual users cannot be tracked.
Search insight consists of two main parts. First, you can see what your audience and channel viewers are looking for on YouTube.
Second, you can view all viewer searches for any keyword in thousands of topics on YouTube.

In these data sets, YouTube is testing another new feature called “content gap.”
When viewers cannot find the information they are looking for, the search becomes blank.
If viewers cannot find any results for a particular search query, or if the content they find is of low quality, it will be marked as blank.
Now that you have understood the basics of Search Insights, here are where to access it and how to use it.
How to use YouTube search insights
Access search insights by logging in YouTube studio And click analyze In the left menu.
Once there, navigate to Research Section and look for the title “Search for your audience“.
Here you can find popular searches from your audience or audiences on channels similar to yours.
The data for each search term is divided into multiple columns.
The first column shows the estimated search volume for the keyword, ranging from high, medium to low.
The other column shows the number of views your channel has received from searching for this keyword in the past 28 days.
Next, you can click “Search volume on YouTube” Label.
Type the topic name or specific keywords in the search bar to get data.

Search Insights is currently being launched, but please keep in mind that it is in an experimental stage. This means that not everyone can access it immediately.
YouTube said it will make another announcement when it expands Search Insights to more users.
