Natalie White
The U.S. Senate confirmed Natalie White as U.S. Attorney for Oregon on Sept. 8 — officially making her the state’s top federal law enforcement official.
The longtime federal prosecutor has been a court-appointed U.S. attorney since he was nominated by President Joe Biden in June, Oregon Public Broadcasting reported.
White is a graduate of Cleveland High School in Portland. She is the first black and second Asian American to serve as a U.S. attorney in the district.
White graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 2003. Before becoming a federal prosecutor in California, she worked as an attorney with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
In 2012, White became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Oregon, responsible for civil and criminal proceedings.
White was selected by the White House from among three finalists.
