“My thighs and abdomen were burned, leaving lightning marks on me and my sister,” Rachel said. “I can’t feel my arm anymore.”
The siblings suspected that the lightning might be attracted by a titanium plate on Isobel’s arm, which she received after being injured on a bicycle last year.
“My sister’s arm is very hot because of the plate,” Rachel said.
The siblings were allowed to leave the hospital before the end of the night, but they said they still had some pain afterwards.
