Last weekend, my daughter and I were able to see the first and only early screening of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie, which is a great movie and we’re back in theaters again since the pandemic. This is a great family movie to watch with your kids. It is rated PG 13 by MTRCB.
I absolutely love this movie, there are no dull moments and the scenes are fast. It’s well written and has great CGI. Good storytelling and good laughs.
My daughter is autistic and barely finished 3 minutes of Youtube music or shows (because she just repeats a scene over and over) to be able to sit and watch because of all the wonders of Sonic and the cute big-eyed wonder characters , Knuckles and Tails (although we had to go twice for wiwi breaks, I expected more, or maybe she didn’t want to go back, but she did!).
I’m so excited to watch this with her. It’s also a wonderful feeling to be able to see familiar old faces, and I used to watch the movie premiere with their family and loved ones, kind of like the old normal sort is back.
My favorite character in this particular Sonic movie is the bride! Sorry for the spoilers, but when you see the movie, you’ll agree, that’s what I’m going to say.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released in theaters in the Philippines on March 30, 2022, and in the United States on April 8, 2022.
Is it okay/safe to watch movies in theaters now?
So, for those who asked, cinemas in the Philippines are now 100% full, although I think there will be a seat split if you don’t watch together. Masks are strictly required, but you can bring snacks indoors and remove your mask when eating or drinking. You will need to have your vaccine card ready as the guard will ask you to show your vaccine card when entering the cinema.
