Telemedicine based on 5G technology
Huawei also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Thai Ministry of Medical Services in September to jointly promote 5G technology in the health sector. Under this two-year agreement, Huawei will provide 5G technology and monitor its adoption for two public hospitals, the National Cancer Institute and Rajavithi Hospital. The company said the technology will be used in telemedicine and emergency care services.
At the same time, Mahidol University has become a university partner of the Thailand Health Data Space 5G project implemented by the government.
