in Chicago Waltz Healthis a digital health startup focused on technology pricing, distribution and prescribing, has closed a $35.4 million Series A round led by GV (formerly Google Ventures). Other investors participating in the round include Define Ventures, Echo Health Ventures, Blue Venture Fund, Byers Capital and Twine Ventures. Some healthcare executives are also among investors. CEO Mark Thierer previously led OptumRx.

Thierer said the company sought to partner with pharmacies to lower prescription drug prices and put power back to health care consumers.
