Families of Afghan interpreters fleeing the Taliban to the UK will get free English The course is part of a comprehensive plan to help them settle in their new home.
Since August 13, more than 8,000 Afghans and their families have been evacuated from Kabul Airport under the Afghanistan Relocation and Assistance Policy (Arap) plan.

The warm welcome action will be modeled on a similar plan implemented for Syrian refugees, including ensuring access to medical and educational services, as well as work and accommodation support.
A central hub will also be created where organizations and individuals can register to provide support, after a large number of people come to the UK.
This can be voluntary service, work, professional skills, trauma support or donations.
It will also provide free English courses. Although many Afghans who come to the UK may have good English skills by acting as translators, their families may not.
On Saturday, all British troops and diplomats were evacuated from Kabul, marking the end of the evacuation.
Ms. Atkins is still serving as Minister of Protection while assuming her new position. She said: “The UK has stood up to support those in need. This is a source of national pride. We are very grateful to the Afghan people who work with us.
“I look forward to helping them, their families and other vulnerable groups we resettle in the coming years to recover from the trauma and build a new life here.”
Minister of the Interior Pritty Patel He added: “This week, we have all seen relief on the faces of those who traveled from Afghanistan to safety here in the UK.
“We welcome those who have arrived-we are very happy that you are here and you will become valuable members of our community.”
