Taiwan stated that 19 Chinese military aircraft, including nuclear-capable bombers, entered its southwest airspace on Sunday, the latest in a series of incursions carried out by the Chinese Air Force almost daily.
The Ministry of National Defense stated that it tracked the 19 Chinese aircraft as they flew into its air defense identification zone (ADIZ) and issued a radio warning to the crew. It added in a statement that the activity was also tracked by radar and a missile defense system was deployed.

The team includes four H-6 bombers, 10 J-16 fighter jets, and four Sukhoi SU-30 jets. A Y-8 transport aircraft and airborne early warning aircraft were also part of the invasion.
China did not comment on the flight, which was the largest invasion since June 15 when at least 28 Chinese Air Force aircraft — including fighters and nuclear-capable bombers — entered the air defense identification zone.
Earlier, the Group of Seven countries issued a joint statement criticizing China on a series of issues and reiterating the importance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
Since Tsai Ing-wen was first elected president in 2016, Beijing has claimed that Taiwan is its own and has been increasing pressure on the island.
