Are you wondering what 2022 lucky charms you should have?
Last month, December 2021, was the annual Feng Shui prediction from the Queen of Feng Shui and my good friend Marites Allen. While many newspapers and TV networks at home and abroad are referring to 2022 as the Year of the Water Horse, my main takeaway from her prediction is that the mother or the woman in the family will be the most endangered or conflicted this year.
Having said that, I’ve been struggling with general cleaning and rearranging furniture layouts in my home. Because feng shui is mostly about the flow of energy, where you work, eat, sleep and do many things in your home or office can have an impact on it. Plus I’m a mother and it won’t hurt me to be prepared, not sorry.
So, here are some of the things you should do and the charm you should get to deal with the conflict over motherhood in the year of the water tiger in 2022, according to Ms. Marites Allen.
2022 lucky charm
- Clean the southern area of your home.
- Avoid the center of the house, and if that’s not possible, keep it busy and don’t use this area too much.
- If unavoidable, place a cleaning/singing bowl in the center.
- Place a fifth-floor figure, a five-yuan pagoda, or an image in the center.
- Put the Lucky Dog, Evil Eye, Disaster Elephant and Rhinoceros in the West.
- Place the Victory Horse statue or image to the south. Use the south as much as possible.
- Put the charm of peace and harmony like a pair of swans and a pair of apples in the east.
- Place the waterfall, and/or the Laughing Buddha, and/or the Fortune Vase to the northwest, make sure to put something in the Fortune Vase, don’t leave it empty.
- Place the double happiness symbol on the northeast and the mandarin ducks for love luck.
- release birds and/or wear Affirmative Shawl of Infinite Opportunity/scarves or display them in the north
- Place Victory Flag and/or Citrine Three-legged Frog or Ruyi on North and/or South
- Put the fifth floor in er northwest.
- Place Tai Sui coins or plaques in the northeast.
- dressed Pi Yao Charm/Bracelet.

Ms Marites also recommends stashing your 2022 lucky charm in your bag if you’re going to a hospital, funeral or anything negative. Don’t expose it. If you mistakenly or unavoidably expose them to the sun for at least 3 hours or clean it (Frigga Charmed Life cleans items purchased from them in their store) clean it.

On the other hand, Ms Marites said, from February 1, 2022, do auspicious things in the first 28 days of Chinese New Year. Also put on your 2022 lucky charm and wear colorful clothes, but not black or white.
