Boschendal Picnics focuses on natural and seasonal produce, with Boschendal chefs using only naturally grown produce from the estate gardens or locally sourced artisanal cheeses to create delicious and healthy picnic hampers.
Picnics must be booked in advance, and guests can decide whether to sit at an outdoor table at La Rhone or under a tree on the grass at The Werf.

The atmosphere at Werf Farm Picnics is cool and relaxing, so there’s no need to be fancy. There’s plenty of space to spread out a blanket and relax on the lawn, but if you’d prefer a table and chairs, just ask when booking.

Boschendal Rose Garden Picnic
The Rose Garden picnic area is surrounded by the estate’s exhibition vineyards, Rhône Rose Garden, Cellar Door tasting venue and winery.
Guests are welcome to sit at the stylishly decorated picnic tables or on picnic blankets under the trees.
Each Rhone Classic Picnic basket includes a selection of pate, freshly baked bread, a selection of salads, the estate’s classic coronation chicken, a selection of cold meats, homemade whole grain mustard, artisanal cheeses, and one of Boschendal’s delightful desserts.
Wilf Garden Picnic
The Werf picnic area is located under the shady trees on Pavilion Lawn (next to the main Werf area), perfect for family and friends to gather for a leisurely al fresco lunch.
Relax in a hammock, on a bean bag, or on a picnic blanket in the grass. Look forward to a relaxing, leisurely afternoon under the trees.
Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets and tables with folding chairs.
Werf Garden picnic baskets include a range of fresh produce and artisanal items from Boschendal bakers, butchers and chefs.
Look forward to pies, fresh baguettes, seasonal salads, a selection of cold meats, homemade whole grain mustard, artisanal cheeses, and one of Boschendal’s delightful desserts.
Savor the flavors of the farm’s homemade chocolate chip cookie ice cream and the farm’s homemade marshmallows that melt in your mouth, as well as homemade preserves and the farm’s homemade ice cream for dessert.
