The best show to watch right now
gourd
the old man
i just started old MOne It airs on FX, but is free on Hulu (or purchased on Amazon Prime). It’s based on the best-selling novel of the same name and stars my favorite actor, Jeff Bridges, as the main character, Dan Chase. He plays a former CIA operative who has been kept off the grid and is flushed out of hiding when an assassin tries to take him away. I’ll admit that the fight scene in the first episode almost made me laugh out loud, it’s ridiculous, but it’s a great episode that leaves you guessing. The series has a strong cast, with John Lithgow and Arya Shawkat also starring.
Bear
We love Jeremy Allen White shameless Great to see him in this new American comedy, Bear on the gourd. White, also in Chicago, plays the role of a young chef who returns to his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop to help put the pieces back together after a family tragedy. We’re excited to delve into this this fall!
under the banner of heaven
we start to see under the banner of heaven This summer, learning the true story of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her young daughter’s death in the Valley of Salt Lake City is both terrifying and fascinating. The TV show crime drama produced by the book exposes the heartbreaking consequences of LDS religion and unshakable beliefs. What makes the show even more addictive is that the lead detective on the case is also a Mormon and finds conflict in separating and questioning his beliefs from his work.
Murder only in the building
This show is so much fun!exist Only murders in the building, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short form a hilarious trio in this mystery comedy. When the trio find themselves implicated in a murder in the building they all live in, they team up to solve the problem while documenting their true crime journey on a podcast. If you’re looking for something light, easy, light-hearted that makes you laugh, but has enough suspense and drama to keep things interesting – this is your next show!

Another fascinating true story turned into a TV show, stairs Follow the suspicious death of Catherine, wife of crime novelist Michael Peterson. succession
we’re a little late succession Phenomenon, but I’m glad I finally got it, because it’s only 4 episodes and I’m addicted. I’m usually not a corporate/commercial show girl, but after multiple referrals I finally gave in and thank goodness I did. The Successor is a comedy drama that highlights the way business and family are conflated. When the head of the international media conglomerate refused to give up his company despite his old age and serious illness, his family tried to step in and family loyalties began to split.
Netflix
Stranger Things
we love Stranger Things. This is probably our all-time favorite show. After last season, we actually experienced a slight depression because it was just that good. Stranger Things is such a unique show that does it well in so many ways. Everything from the characters to the plot, music and effects brings all that nostalgic feeling in the best possible way. Set in the ’80s, this sci-fi meets horror classic, (going back to a time when horror was cool and less bloody) Stranger Things follows small-town teens fighting for their lives and surviving from the terrifying supernatural forces below. Save their town. There’s a reason it won 3 Emmys in “Outstanding Drama” If you haven’t already, (I’m jealous) watch Stranger Things now!

Ted’s Lasso
we’re a little late Ted Russo Games… (no pun intended), but after just a few episodes I immediately understood what all the buzz was about. Each character is cuter than the next, and they all start to feel like family. Between Ted’s thought-provoking and insightful cast, Keeley’s optimism, Rebecca’s sheer mischief, and Roy’s British procrastination and honesty, they all blend together to form the best of the bunch. Each episode will leave you begging for more and thinking about the lessons each character teaches you long after you turn off the TV. If you haven’t already, watch Ted Lasso now!

the marvellous mrs maisel
Set in the 1950s, when women were expected to marry, have children, and be the perfect housewife, Midge is our favorite feminist rebel – giving society an old “FU”. Mickey, who started her career in stand-up comedy, endured all the hardships that came with defying the law during this period. the marvellous mrs maisel This is where you need to laugh and be inspired to follow your dreams, no matter how rebellious they may be.
Staz
Outlander
Another of our favorites is Outlander We just finished season 6. If you’re looking for a show with several seasons to take you into fall and winter, this is a great option. Outlander is a historical fiction show that has everything from adventure to steamy romance, fantasy and plenty of drama. Claire Randall, a British Army nurse during World War II, is mysteriously transported to 1743 when she returns from the war, prompting her hero Jamie Fraser. Each season brings a collision of fantasy and historical events, as Claire and Jamie battle it out in two colliding worlds.
