In week 10, some major changes have taken place in the 2021 NFL standings. Some teams entered the playoffs with big wins, and the new No. 1 seed appeared in the NFC.
The Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) defeated the Las Vegas Raiders (5-4) on Sunday night to control the AFC West. Patrick Mahomes pitched a season-high 406 yards in a 41-14 victory in Kansas City, giving the Chiefs a half-time advantage over the Los Angeles Chargers (5-4) to take first place. Kansas City has won the division championship five times in a row.
The entire AFC West Division is separated by one game. Las Vegas temporarily fell to the No. 8 seed and did not enter the postseason position. With the Raiders’ deciding game, the Chargers currently hold the last wild card seat in the conference.
The New England Patriots (6-4) rose to the No. 6 seed by defeating the Cleveland Browns (5-5). New England is only halftime behind the Buffalo Bills (6-3), leading the AFC East. The Patriots and Bill plan to have two confrontations in the second half of the season.
Buffalo entered the 11th week as the No. 2 seed of the AFC. The Baltimore Ravens (6-3) are the No. 3 seed. The Tennessee Titans (8-2) led the conference by 1.5 games and led the Bills in the head-to-head tiebreaker.
The Green Bay Packers (8-2) eliminated the Seattle Seahawks (3-6) at Rambo Field, thus ranking among the best in the NFC standings. After missing a game due to COVID-19, Aaron Rodgers threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns without being intercepted. The Packers won eight consecutive games under the leadership of the center.
The Arizona Cardinals (8-2) lost to the Carolina Panthers (5-5) on Sunday, thus giving up the No. 1 seed. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins both missed their second consecutive game due to injury. The Cardinals are the current No. 2 seed, leading the Los Angeles Rams (7-2) in the NFC West.
The Dallas Cowboys (7-2) defeated the Atlanta Falcons (4-5) by 40 points to enter the No. 3 seed. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) fell from No. 3 to No. 4 in the NFC after being defeated by the Washington Football Team (3-6).
Carolina surpassed Atlanta to get the final NFC wild card position. New Orleans Saints (5-4) As the No. 6 seed, the National League South has three teams in the latest playoffs.
The No. 7 seed Minnesota Vikings (4-5) are halftime behind the Panthers.
