Two Canadian governors and the leaders of three U.S. states call for reopening border Between the two countries.
The governor of Saskatchewan, Scott Moe, the governor of Alberta, Jason Kenney, and the governors of North Dakota, Montana, and Idaho have Send a letter to the heads of state of the two countries requesting action.
The letter stated that it is time for citizens to freely cross the border to resume trade and tourism.
It said the current restrictions are unnecessary delays, and the states and provinces are managing their COVID-19 infection.
Canada said it would relax the entry of Americans from August 9th, while the United States said it would wait until at least August 21st.
