Colorado Day is Famous Every August 1st, to commemorate the signing of the announcement by President Ulysses S. Grant, recognizing Colorado as a state, this year’s event marks the 145th anniversary of the state’s centennial birthday.
This year, some companies and institutions offered discounts and free gifts to commemorate occasion. Historic Colorado Center will Keep A “Carnival” party offering more than 20 attractions and will feature chalk artists, mascots and alpacas. Several museums will also be open on Sundays, and all guests can enter for free.
Those who like more outdoor experiences can also enjoy the natural beauty of the state, because Colorado parks and wildlife will be supply Free entry to all 42 state parks on August 2nd, but other expenses such as camping and reservations are required.
According to the KKCO11 news report, CPW Director Dan Prezlow said: “Colorado Day is an opportunity for everyone to go outdoors and experience the various natural beauty and recreational activities offered by all 42 state parks.”
