Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s first minister for almost a decade, recently announced her resignation – it is unclear who will succeed her. British politics now seems perpetually in turmoil. With the general election looming, political parties are gearing up to win over the public.
What were the important ideas that influenced British politics? How big is the public appetite for change? What are the main battlegrounds in the next general election?
