On Sunday, London’s roads were flooded and buses and cars were stranded as repeated thunderstorms hit the British capital.
Social media users posted videos of partially submerged vehicles in southwest London. As thunderstorms sweep across southeast England, more heavy rain will come.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued an amber weather warning to London and surrounding counties before 7pm local time (1800 GMT).

It warned of the risk of lightning strikes and flooding. Rainfall in some areas is expected to reach 10 cm, almost twice the monthly average in July.
According to an AFP reporter, the police closed a road near the Queenstown Road station in southwest London, and three double-decker London buses were trapped under the railway bridge.
A driver who claimed to be Eric said that after his bus started to flood, passengers had to get off.
Other motorists in Walthamstow, northeast London, abandoned their vehicles when it rained.
The police said they were “currently dealing with a large amount of flooding in the east” and warned that tunnels and roundabouts were submerged.
