Roketsan, with a vision to play a leading role in the global defense field through local, reliable and groundbreaking rocket and missile solutions, participated in the 15th International Defense Industry Fair IDEF’21 with brand-new products developed by Turkish engineers. Murat İkinci, CEO of Roketsan, stated that IDEF will launch 9 new products, adding that “Roketsan will be the focus of the exhibition where IDEF’21, the Turkish defense industry will be exhibited”.
IDEF’21, hosted by the President of the Republic of Turkey, hosted by the Ministry of National Defense, in charge of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, and organized by TÜYAP, will welcome top defense industry companies from all over the world, August 17-20, 2021. Professor Faruk Yiğit, Chairman of Roketsan Executive Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Bureau, and Roketsan CEO Murat İkinci met with members of the press before the exhibition and shared information about Roketsan products on IDEF’21.
Professor Faruk Yiğit, Chairman of Roketsan Executive Committee, said: “Roketsan is making every effort for the perpetuation of our country. Today, Turkey is in a very advantageous position in the world. Therefore, as Roketsan, we are doing our best to strengthen our capabilities.

However, since we are talking about national affairs, this is something that not only Roketsan but the entire defense industry stakeholders should work hard and find solutions. Currently, there are still some systems that have not yet been discussed. Maybe when SİPER is delivered, you may see that all layers are covered with the national system”.
Murat İkinci, CEO of Roketsan, said: “Even in the COVID-19 era, the Turkish defense industry is constantly evolving. Now is the time to show our strength to the world. İkinci added: “We are continuing our work and aim to become Turkey’s largest technical army, with more than 3.400 personnel, of which approximately 1.800 are engineers. IDEF’21 will demonstrate what we do with our own resources when necessary. Products developed by R&D activities. With our wide range of diversified products every year, we are ready to carry out new cooperation and make more contributions to our country’s export activities.”
İkinci finally commented: “As you know, our ships’ close-range air defense mainly uses RAM and Phalanx systems. We will show our LEVENT system, which is based on our SUNGUR missiles, and provides close proximity to our ships through IDEF’21. Range air defense. LEVENT will have two versions: the first configuration will use the ship’s photoelectric and radar systems, and the second will use its own photoelectric and radar systems to reach the target.”
Ikinchi said that Roketsan will continue to be the largest supplier of rockets and missiles, and that Roketsan will continue to share good news in this context.
Roketsan participates in IDEF’21 with new products
Participants visiting the Roketsan booth at IDEF’21 will have the opportunity to see 9 new products for the first time, in addition to many products that have proven their battlefield combat capabilities both domestically and internationally. Roketsan will welcome guests and introduce its products at its 1.465 square meter booth, with experienced and competent personnel.
