by Twitter, This Museum -The first physical residence in the world to provide all gynecological supplies-Explain that their current lease is about to end, but they have not found a suitable alternative place.
Over time, they are now seeking public support—whether it’s new venues, donations, or storage and temporary office space.
Perhaps not surprisingly, given that at least half of the population has a personal interest in their subject matter, museums have received a lot of support.
Development and Marketing Manager Zoe Williams said: “Since we asked for help publicly, we have worked together with the community to save the world’s only one dedicated to vagina, vulva, and gynecological anatomy.
“We feel very sorry to leave our first fixed home, where it is pure public appetite education, awareness raising and empowerment, which is the focus of many fond memories of the vagina museum.
“For more than a year, we have been looking for new venues because we have been trying to meet demand. In four months, there were more than 119,000 visitors in a small space, but now, because our lease has no Renewal, this search has become extremely urgent.”
When asked about the situation, the spokesperson Camden Market Said: “We are very happy to welcome the Vagina Museum to Camden Market in 2019. We contacted the Camden Commission directly and obtained a 24-month temporary planning permission to accommodate them.
“Unfortunately, the planning permission is about to expire, so we have provided a new and larger location to meet the requirements of the business, and the rent is in line with current expectations. This offer has been rejected, but if interest occurs Changes, we are still happy to negotiate with the team.”
