My Winehouse is probably the most gifted musician of her generation.
By the time she died at the age of 27 in 2011, she had left an indelible mark with her work and was mourned by millions of fans around the world.
On the 10th anniversary of Winehouse’s death, books and documentaries are being used to commemorate Winehouse’s rapid rise and heartbreaking premature death.
This is the timeline of the singer’s life and career:
1983: Amy Jade Winehouse was born in Enfield London Taxi driver father Mickey and pharmacist mother Janis.
1993: 9-year-old Winehouse enrolled in Sussian Shaw Drama School Barnett In the same year, her parents separated and she lived with her mother.
1994: The singer performed with childhood friend Juliette Ashby in the music duo Sweet’n’ Sour.
2002: Winehouse, who briefly studied at the British Academy of Performing Arts, signed a contract with Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment Management Company, and then Island Records.
2003: Winehouse’s first album “Frank” received critical and commercial success. It sold more than one million copies in the UK and won the Ivor Novello Songwriting Award.
2006: Winehouse released his second album “Back To Black” and became an international star. It documents her turbulent relationship with her intermittent boyfriend and future husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
2007: Winehouse and Fielder-Civil married. Later she canceled a series of appearances, and her promoter said she needed a break. In a statement, Winehouse accused her husband of going to jail because she was unable to perform.
2008: Winehouse enters the rehabilitation center after photos allegedly showing her drug use appeared. Later that year, she spent a victory night at the Grammy Awards, winning five awards with “Back to Black”. However, she was unable to attend because American officials refused her work visa.
2009: Winehouse and Fielder-Civil divorced. The singer’s growing legal issues include his arrest for an ordinary assault on suspicion of assaulting the theater manager of Milton Keynes.
2010: Island Records announced the upcoming release of Winehouse’s new album. She later said that she should arrive before January of the following year.
2011: 27-year-old Winehouse was found dead in her home Camden She had been with the film director Reg Traviss (Reg Traviss). Since it was later discovered that the cause of death was alcoholism, mourning activities from all over the world came in. Released the posthumous compilation “Lioness: Hidden Treasures”.
