Before I end my holiday, I want to share my favorite ski equipment for toddlers. We encountered the first real blizzard this weekend, and it was so fun to go out in the snow with Marin. What’s different in a year! She didn’t walk last winter, so she sled her around. She is moving this year, and we plan to try skiing and snowboarding with her. I’m so excited. For toddlers’ skis, the most important thing is to keep them comfortable, warm and dry so that they can enjoy outdoor activities without complaining or complaining (at least for a while).
jacket
Patagonia Hi-Loft Sweater Hooded Jacket – This jacket has completely changed the rules of the game because it is super warm, but light and not stiff, so she can move around easily. I was promoted to 3T, so she has a little room for growth, but not too much. I usually overlay it on the base layer and fleece shirt or lightweight fleece jacket.
Snow pants/bib
LL Bean Toddler Snow Bib – These bibs are great because I don’t have to worry about them slipping off or accumulating snow under her jacket and pants. I would say they are a bit small, so I recommend measuring the size (Marlin is also tall, so maybe their size is correct?).
Base layer
LL Bean Long Sleeve Fleece Set – This is a great long sleeve/trousers that can be folded under the snow jacket. Marin also likes to wear them at home because they are soft and warm. I zoomed in.
LL Bean middleweight underwear set -If the weather is super cold, I will put it under the fleece, if the weather is not so cold, I will use it alone under the snow suit.
Mittens
Burton Toddler Mittens – These gloves are new discoveries of this season. They have a very convenient zipper that extends all the way to the thumb, so it is easy to put your child’s hand in the glove. They are very long and have Velcro closures, so they can be kept on them, and most importantly they are very warm.
boots
LL Bean Toddler Ultralight Winter Boots -So far this winter, these boots have been great. They keep her feet warm and dry, and they are easy to put on and take off.
socks
Smart wool socks -I ordered a bunch secondCotton socks When we do anything outdoors, let Marin wear it. The only downside is that they don’t have a gripping bottom, so they can’t really be worn on hardwood floors indoors. But to keep your feet super warm outside on cold days, they are great.
Bib/balaclava
Skida Neck Guard – These are great for keeping the face and neck warm with super soft fleece lining. These are also very good and thick. Marin likes these because she can match me.
Outdoor research ninja – In the mountains or on very cold days, I put her in a balaclava under the helmet or over the jacket. Its fleece lining is very soft and warm.
helmet
Smith Glide MIPS helmet – I have an adult version of this helmet, which is very warm and comfortable. The reason I like this is that the size is adjustable, so you can get a perfect fit.
goggles
Smith Rascal goggles – This is an affordable goggles that is very suitable for young children. If it is super snowy or windy, these are necessary.
