Eat healthy and snack, especially when you crave sweets, especially when you are on a low-carb diet!
When I eat low carbs, I seem to eat a lot of pig skins because they give me the crunchy feeling I want, and I even use them to crush (in my food processor) as bread Alternatives to crumbs and different flavors, I can make delicious fried chicken or breaded pork chops, but there is really no sweet option, so I started to try it. I like this recipe and my family likes it better, especially during the holidays !
- 6 Cup Pigskin Crushed into grain-sized pieces
- 6 ounce Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cup peanut butter Ketogenic friendly
- 1 Spoon almond Oil or coconut oil
- 1 Cup Confectioner’s Turn
-
Add the pork skin to a large bowl.
-
Place the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and almond oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium heat for 30 seconds. Stir and heat in the microwave for another 10 seconds until melted.
-
Pour the chocolate mixture on the pig skin and stir well. Let cool for 5 minutes.
-
Add 1/2 of Swerve powder and mix.
-
Spread on the parchment paper and sprinkle the remaining turns. Let cool for 30 minutes.
It’s really easy to make and store after about a week of complete cooling, but if it’s like my house, it won’t last that long! !
