“Anti-Semitism is not condemned to the same degree as other forms of discrimination. This is unacceptable, and efforts to resolve it should be equally rigorous.”
Talksport acknowledged that Jarrett Bryan and Groves should respond to the channel’s YouTube audience’s benefit, and stated that it has suspended live streaming on the video-sharing site until a delay can be introduced.
Lee Clayton, Head of Talksport, said: “We were all shocked by a caller’s comment during The Sports Bar’s YouTube live broadcast. There is absolutely no room for discrimination in society.
“We are deeply sorry to the Tottenham Hotspur team, especially the chairman Daniel Levy, their supporters and the Jewish community, because the offense caused by this kind of hate speech should not have been broadcast.
“The comment was correctly relayed to our radio station, and we have a slight delay on the radio station to ensure that no unexpected and inappropriate comments are broadcast.
“However, it was broadcast live on the talkSPORT YouTube channel, and we are currently testing the channel, waiting for similar profanity/offensive delays.
