The community of pop culture lovers and collectors hasn’t come together for a long time since the pandemic hit. For many, this long drought without any gatherings to celebrate our shared love of all creativity, innovation and collectibles has gone on for far too long. So as the impact of CoVid wears off, we can’t wait to see all of you, our fans and loyal community, finally come home.
For longtime TOYCON fans, it’s no secret that Voltes V holds a special place in the hearts of the convention. This iconic robot has never missed a spot in the colourful collage of characters on our posters from the start, and it even became the centrepiece of our show in a special milestone year, our first show in 2016 The huge Voltes V statue that came out moves the convention to SMX in Pasay, the Voltes V fleet graces our 2017 merchandise, and TOYCON presents the Tamashii Nations super electromechanical VOLTES V, Bandai Spirits DLX Soul of Chogokin in 2020.
And this year, our 19th As part of a commitment made by our event partner Quiccs back in 2019, Voltes V is once again at the center of the live conference, launching his trademark TEQ-63 only at TOYCON in unmistakable Voltes V style! This year, we will be partnering with TOEI Co. Ltd. Telesuccess to finally launch it! At the heart of Voltes V’s story is a story of family division, a struggle of suffering and transcendence, but ultimately a reunion of love. That’s what TOYCON is really about, isn’t it? It’s an annual reunion and this year is a homecoming because we’re back where it all started.

Originally a gathering of like-minded people, this year, as in previous years, TOYCON is a collaboration of many, bringing together the largest pop culture event in the country and Southeast Asia. It’s a league, and this year, it’s going back to its roots as we launch TOYCON that feels familiar but still a cutting-edge show that other shows imitated but never copied.
