Twitter said on Tuesday that it had suspended the account of controversial U.S. Congressman Marjorie Taylor Green, a staunch supporter of former Republican President Donald Trump, due to a “misleading” tweet about the coronavirus vaccine. A week.

Twitter marked the message as “misleading” and advised users to consult information about vaccines and wearing masks provided by US health authorities.
A Twitter spokesperson said in a statement to Agence France-Presse: “The label of the tweet you quoted complies with our Covid-19 misleading information policy.”
The statement added:

The platform’s rules on Covid misinformation stipulate that the 7-day suspension is the fourth violation of the site’s terms of use.

This congressman has been a staunch defender of Trump and his unsubstantiated claims that the Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election.
