Olis Two adults and a 13-year-old boy have been charged with the death of 5-year-old Logan Mwangi, who was found dead in a river South Wales last week.
Cole, 30-year-old Angharad Williamson (Angharad Williamson) and a 13-year-old boy (who cannot be named due to his age) have been jointly charged with obstruction of justice.
Police said all three have been remanded in custody and will appear in Cardiff District Court on Thursday.
Logan’s body was found in the Ogmore River near Bridgend Pandy Park on Saturday after police received a report of a missing child.
He was taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital, where it was confirmed that he was dead.
Senior Investigator and Chief Detective Inspector Mark O’Shea said: “This is a very tragic case for all participants. I express my deepest sympathy to Logan’s family and friends.
“This is still an extensive and sensitive investigation by the Major Crime Investigation Team. I thank the local community for their support and understanding. At the same time, we continue to collect evidence at multiple sites.
“We continue to call on anyone with information about the incident to contact the Major Crime Investigation Team.”
Family and friends paid tribute to Logan on social media. They described Logan as “kind, funny, polite, handsome and smart.”
Those wishing to pay their respects were asked to place teddy bears on lamp posts and pedestrian bridges near the scene of the tragedy.
People came to the police cordon by the river to lay flowers, sacrifices, toys and teddy bears all Sunday and Monday.
Many people who came to mourn said that they did not know Logan or his family, but went to the area after hearing the news of his death.
