Medtronic Developed a method to reduce false alarms through its AccuRhythm™ AI algorithm. Applied to all LINQ II™ pluggable cardiac monitors (ICMs) via cloud-based updates, the algorithm helps improve the accuracy of information received by physicians to better diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms.

The AccuRhythm AI algorithm targets the most common ICM false alarms, atrial fibrillation (AF) and pauses (asystole), and is automatically applied to the device without any action required by current LINQ II™ ICM patients.

AI technology analyzes features, patterns and trends in the marker ECG to learn and differentiate between true cardiac events and false positives. False positives are suppressed while true positives are retained to ensure clinicians only spend time reviewing clinically relevant events.
