The Hallmark channel will bring the holiday spirit back to the TV screen in July, fans will be able to enjoy some of the previous holiday favorites again, and they will also be able to experience a new movie, premiered at the premiere of “Through the Snow,” by Amy A Starring K and Warren Christie.
This movie will be a treat for Hallmark fans, because it brings together two stars who are proficient in holiday fares. Ake has previously starred in Hallmark Theatre Company’s “Nutcracker Christmas” and the movie “Dear Santa”, and lent her talent to Hallmark’s film “Novel Romance”. In addition to holiday movies and Hallmark, her role as Kate Struck in “Genius” and Esther Edelstein in “The Suit” may be recognized.
As for Christie, he just starred in Hallmark’s “If I Only Have Christmas” in 2020. He is also known for playing Jude Silva in “The Resident” and Nick Porter in “The Village.”
So what happens when these two teams work together to make a new holiday movie? According to the plot brief, Hijinks are waiting for their two characters to make plans.
“Maggie (Aker) and her ex-husband Jeff (Christian Brune) have always been friends. When Jeff’s new girlfriend Kate (Brook Nevin) spontaneously invited Maggie to go to Aspen During Peng’s Christmas vacation, she seized the opportunity to vacation with her two daughters,” the plot synopsis reads.
However, Maggie soon felt that she was just a third round, because it was obvious that she was not suitable. However, when she met Kate’s brother Sam (Christie), things started to get better because he had a plan to ensure Maggie had a good Christmas-he could finally get out of his sister’s shadow.
“He convinced Maggie that together they can provide her daughters with the best Christmas ever,” the storyline continued. “But none of them are fully prepared for the mixed family challenges in the future-or their feelings for each other.”
“Crossing the Snow” premiered on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, July 10 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
