During November, Kauai averages an average low temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. In some areas on Kauai, it can feel like summer throughout November.

The average high temperature on Kauai during that month is 81 degrees Fahrenheit; making it a great destination for those looking to escape winter’s chill without sacrificing the warmth of sunshine.

Kauai is the greenest and oldest of the Hawaiian islands, Kauai has towering cliffs, plunging valleys, gushing waterfalls, and verdant hills, making it a destination ripe for outdoor enthusiasts.

Start your adventures with a bird’s-eye view of the gorgeous island on a Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour of the Waimea Canyon, then, for an up-close perspective, hike the rugged clifftops of the 11-mile Kalalau Trail.

Want to feel the wind in your hair instead? Opt for a thrilling sailboat ride around the Na Pali Coastline—a majestic series of valleys, fluted walls, and sheer ridges rising thousands of feet from the Pacific.

Lay your head at the Lodge at Kukui’ula, a collection of two- and three-bedroom cottages on a 1,000-acre South Shore resort community.

13) Curaçao

The “C” in the ABC islands, Curaçao features historic settlements, rugged landscapes, and plenty of fun in the sun. (Aruba and Bonaire are the other islands constituting the westernmost islands of the Leeward Antilles).

Curaçao’s main port city, Willemstad, is what an Old World European city would look like if someone dropped it in the Caribbean. The brightly painted Dutch colonial buildings reflect pinks, yellows, and blues into the cerulean St. Anna Bay.

Once you leave the city, the landscape shifts to a desert scene, with spiny aloe and mesquite sprouting from atop weathered limestone cliffs.

But Curaçao’s real draw is the beach. Picture-perfect bays and coves flank the island, their turquoise waters lapping gently against the powdery white sand.

Curaçao’s reefs teem with marine life, providing excellent underwater playgrounds for scuba divers and snorkelers. Best of all, the semiarid island is sheltered from the worst of the Atlantic’s hurricane season.

Gentle trade winds keep temperatures in the mid-80s, so you can enjoy the outdoors year-round.

Where to Stay in Curacao

Sandals Royal Curacao is where you’ll taste it in the quintessential flavors of Dutch, Caribbean, Latin, and Creole cuisine, simmered low and slow, melding into a stobá stew.

And hear it when you learn to say “I love you” in four different languages, with a true sense of warmth only Sandals can teach you. You’ll put it all into the memories you’ll create, with the person you love, at Sandals Royal Curaçao.

Sandals Royal Curacao invites you to see, taste, smell, hear, and feel it for yourself.

Dining

Though all four restaurants overlook the lagoon, our favorites include BLUE Grill + Bar, which fuses Japanese and Peruvian flavors and techniques, and La Cava, where you can enjoy a private dinner surrounded by the best wine collection in the DR.

Rooms

I suggest booking the Kurason Island Suite which overlooks the exclusive heart-shaped pool and lush private island garden. These new signature suites surround a secluded lagoon, where guests can explore and perfect their own love languages.

Every bungalow captures the height of luxury with hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and custom-crafted king-size beds adorned with soft linens and plush pillows for the ultimate sleep experience.

Inside, each bungalow is also equipped with a smart TV and a large ceiling fan to stay cool while enjoying fresh Caribbean breezes.

Relax in the separate living room’s comfortable seating area, which has a fully stocked wet bar with premium liquor and a dining table.

The bathrooms are equipped with his and hers sinks, a large backlit mirror adorned with mosaic tile, and a walk-in rain shower. Outside, your private patio is also equipped with an extended sun deck, Tranquility Soaking Tub with privacy curtains, sun loungers, and a bistro set for two.

The all-new Sandals Royal Curaçao is a romantic paradise designed for lovers featuring 351 rooms and suites, including the first-ever Awa Seaside Bungalows with private pools, the first Kurason Island Suites overlooking a heart-shaped pool, and the unique Dos Awa 2-Level Infinity Pool.
